It’s Our Story is a national initiative to make disability history public and accessible. Scott Cooper recorded and collected over 1,300 video interviews from disability leaders across the country since 2005. Check out a video uploaded on June 15, 2010:
Kate Gainer of Atlanta, GA speaks about her identity a black female with a disability in the south and how she grew into a life of disability advocacy. Gainer was born with cerebral palsy. She has been part of demonstrations supporting legislation such as MiCASA and now serves as the Disability Affairs Coordinator for the City of Atlanta.
