Media Partner #40: Asian and Pacific Islander American Health Forum
Hey there, it’s the Asian and Pacific Islander American Health Forum, our 40th media partner!
From their website:
The Asian & Pacific Islander American Health Forum (APIAHF) works with communities to mobilize in order to influence policy and to strengthen their community-based organizations to achieve health equity for AAs and NHPIs across the country.
Founded in 1986 with headquarters in San Francisco and an office in Washington DC, APIAHF is the oldest and largest health advocacy organization working with AA and NHPI communities across the nation, in the US Territories, and with the US‐affiliated Pacific jurisdictions. By providing policy and political analysis, research and data support, and effective communications strategies, APIAHF supports local AA and NHPI communities to have an influence on local, state, and national policy.
By providing grants, training, technical assistance, and consulting, APIAHF is a source of key resources so that communities can mobilize and grow stronger in their coalitions and organizational structures. By providing thought leadership to the fields of policy, health, immigrant inclusion, and philanthropy, APIAHF creates the conditions for AAs and NHPIs to be a clear and articulate voice for respect, fairness, equity, and health justice for all.
