Ep 60: Travel

 

Today’s episode is on travel with Bani Amor and Srin Madipalli. Bani Amor is a queer travel writer who explores the relationships between race, place, and power. They are going to talk about decolonizing tourism and the need to expand travel writing and culture. Srin Madipalli is a Product Manager at Airbnb with a focus on making travel easier for people with disabilities. Srin will share his experiences as a disabled traveler and about Accomable, a travel platform for people with disabilities he co-founded that was recently acquired by Airbnb.

Their work on issues of migration, climate, gender, food, and travel has appeared in CNN Travel, F0d0r’s, Teen Vogue, YES! Magazine, and Bitch Magazine, and they have been published in the anthologies Outside the XY: Queer Black and Brown Masculinity, and the upcoming Where We Stand: Brown and Black Voices Speak the Earth. Srin Madipalli is a Product Manager at Airbnb with a focus on making travel easier for people with disabilities. Srin is an entrepreneur who founded Accomable, a travel platform for people with disabilities, which was acquired by Airbnb in November 2017. Srin is from London, UK and previously practiced as an attorney at a leading international law firm and is a self-taught web developer. He has degrees from King’s College London and Oxford University.
